Israeli attacks across Gaza during the Eid holiday have killed at least 26 Palestinians, according to humanitarian and local medical reports, as Israeli ground forces expanded operations deeper into the territory. Strikes were reported in several areas, including Khan Younis, Deir el-Balah and parts of northern Gaza.

Witnesses described intense bombardment overnight as families gathered during Eid celebrations. Medical sources said women and children were among those killed, while hospitals already struggling with shortages of medicine and fuel received more wounded civilians.

Israeli forces also continued advancing into eastern and central parts of Gaza, with reports of heavy artillery fire and air strikes targeting residential areas. Thousands of Palestinians were again displaced as fighting spread into new neighbourhoods.

Humanitarian organisations warned that conditions in Gaza continue to deteriorate, with growing concerns over food shortages, overcrowded shelters and limited access to medical care. Aid agencies said many civilians remain trapped in areas affected by ongoing fighting and are unable to safely evacuate. The latest attacks come amid continued international calls for a ceasefire and increased humanitarian access into Gaza.
