Palestinians in West Bank Village Remain Under Settler Siege for Sixth Day

Palestinian families in the occupied West Bank village of Qusra, near Nablus, have remained trapped inside their homes for a sixth consecutive day as Israeli settlers maintain a siege despite an Israeli army operation reportedly intended to remove them.

The siege began on Sunday when settlers surrounded three Palestinian homes on a hilltop and placed tents near their entrances. Residents say the move appears aimed at forcing the families from their properties.

According to local reports, settlers have cut water and electricity supplies to some homes, leaving families, including children, struggling to obtain food and medicine.

Israeli activists who attempted to bring supplies to the affected families on Friday were reportedly stopped by Israeli forces.

Residents also said that when they contacted the Israeli army for protection, soldiers arrived but did not remove the settlers. Footage circulating online appeared to show soldiers interacting with and praying alongside the settlers.

The continued siege has raised further concerns about the safety of Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank and the effectiveness of Israeli authorities in preventing settler attacks and forced displacement.
