Quds Force Chief Announces New ‘Security Belt’ Across Key Waterways

Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, commander of Iran’s Quds Force, announced plans for what he described as a new “security belt” stretching from the Strait of Hormuz to Bab el-Mandeb and from the Persian Gulf to the Red Sea.

Speaking in remarks reported by Press TV, Qaani praised recent actions by Yemen’s allied groups, saying they demonstrated growing coordination among members of the so-called Axis of Resistance.

He stated that the Resistance Front would respond collectively to Israeli and US actions in the region and suggested additional groups could join if tensions continue to escalate.

Qaani warned that any further aggression would be met with a broader regional response, emphasizing that the proposed security belt would strengthen cooperation among resistance-aligned forces across strategic maritime routes.
