Israeli Forces Advance Deeper into Southern Syria, Establish New Checkpoints in Daraa
Israeli forces have expanded their presence in southern Syria, advancing further into Daraa Governorate and establishing new checkpoints, according to the SANA.
SANA reported that troops set up a second checkpoint near the village of Sreyeh Jamlah in the western countryside of Daraa, positioned around 200 metres from another checkpoint established the previous day.
In a separate movement, at least five Israeli military vehicles entered the village of Abidin. Forces reportedly set up two checkpoints in the area and carried out searches on civilians passing through.
The developments indicate a continued expansion of Israeli military activity deeper into the region, with increased movement of personnel and control points across local villages.
