Israeli Drone Strike on Gaza Funeral Gathering Kills 8, Injures 20 Amid Ceasefire Violations
At least eight Palestinians were killed and 20 others injured after an Israeli drone strike targeted a funeral gathering in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to local health officials.
The strike hit civilians gathered outside the Ahmad Yassin Mosque as they prepared for the funeral of a Palestinian killed earlier the same day. Al-Awda Hospital confirmed receiving the victims following the attack in the Al-Balata market area.
Gaza authorities said the incident raised the death toll from Israeli attacks across the territory to 13 on Friday and more than 25 over the previous 72 hours. Officials accused Israel of repeatedly targeting civilian gatherings, markets, funerals and residential areas despite the ceasefire that has been in effect since October 2025.
