Kuwait Woos Wealthy Foreigners With New 15-Year Investor Permit
Kuwait has announced a new 15-year residency permit for foreign investors and their families as part of efforts to attract international capital and strengthen its economy.
The program is open to approved investors, business partners, and owners of licensed investment entities who meet specific capital and employment requirements. Applicants must invest at least $3.25 million in qualifying projects.
Officials said the initiative supports Kuwait’s goal of becoming a regional financial and commercial hub while improving its investment environment. The move brings Kuwait closer to other Gulf countries that offer long-term residency programs to attract investors and skilled professionals.
The announcement comes as Kuwait faces economic challenges linked to regional instability and disruptions affecting Gulf energy exports. Authorities hope the new residency scheme will boost investment and support the country’s long-term economic diversification plans.
