Israel Expands ‘Yellow Zone’ in Gaza, Forcing More Palestinian Families to Flee
Israel has reportedly expanded its "yellow zone" deeper into the Gaza Strip by moving yellow concrete barriers further into the territory, according to Israeli media. The latest expansion was reported near Salah al-Din Road, east of Gaza City, reducing areas accessible to civilians.
The move comes after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel controls around 70 percent of Gaza. Reports indicate the expanded zones are intended to increase pressure on Hamas while creating larger security buffers for Israeli forces and nearby settlements.
Palestinian residents said the newly advanced barriers forced more displaced families to flee after areas previously used as shelters became increasingly dangerous. Israeli media reported that the expansion, which began several weeks ago, is expected to continue with additional areas becoming part of the designated "yellow zones."
