Iranian Military Headquarters Warns of Retaliation Over Possible Beirut Strikes

Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has warned Israel that any large-scale attack on Beirut’s southern suburbs would trigger a strong response targeting northern Israel.

In a statement directed at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the headquarters said that evacuation orders or intensified strikes on Beirut’s Dahiyeh area would lead to retaliation that could bring the conflict into northern Israeli cities and settlements. It also urged residents in northern Israel to evacuate.

The warning comes as Israeli officials reportedly prepare for possible heavy strikes on areas in Beirut identified as Hezbollah strongholds. Israeli authorities have also expanded evacuation warnings in southern Lebanon, including towns and villages south of the Zahrani River and areas in Sidon and Jezzine districts, suggesting a widening of operations.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Hezbollah has responded to Israeli actions with rocket fire and drone attacks, further escalating tensions across the border region.
