Iran Says More Than 75% of Missile and Drone Capabiliti
Iran says more than 75 percent of its missile and drone capabilities remain intact and ready for use despite recent US and Israeli attacks, directly challenging US President Donald Trump’s assessment of the damage.
Brigadier General Ali Reza Sheikh, Iran’s deputy army commander for executive affairs, said the strikes had been far less effective than Washington claimed. His comments were reported by Iran’s official IRNA news agency.
Sheikh said more than three-quarters of Iran’s missile and drone capabilities remained operational, describing the country’s drone system as a “nightmare for the enemy”.
The assessment sharply contrasts with Trump’s claim last month that Iran had only around 21 to 22 percent of its previous missile stockpile remaining.
The competing claims highlight the uncertainty surrounding the extent of damage inflicted on Iran’s military infrastructure and its remaining ability to conduct missile and drone operations.
