Iran Says US Must Accept ‘Irreversible’ Strait of Hormuz Order
Iran has warned the United States that it must accept Tehran’s new order in the Strait of Hormuz, describing the situation as irreversible.
Iranian army spokesman Amir Akraminia said Washington had no option but to accept the existing situation, despite any objections from the US.
“The United States has no choice but to accept the existing situation,” Akraminia said in remarks reported by Iran’s official IRNA news agency.
He warned that refusing to accept the new situation could result in costs for Washington “far greater” than those it has faced in the past.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions between Iran and the US over the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, a major route for global energy shipments.
