Hamas has condemned what it described as international silence following a deadly Israeli airstrike on tents sheltering displaced families in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to the group, a young Palestinian girl was killed when Israeli warplanes bombed the area, adding to what it says is a growing toll of children killed during the conflict.
Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said the incident reflects ongoing attacks on civilians while the international community “watches and does nothing.” He called the lack of response from global actors unacceptable.
Qassem also criticised Arab governments, political institutions and public figures for failing to act, and accused the Palestinian Authority of remaining passive amid the ongoing violence in Gaza.
The strike comes amid continued Israeli military operations targeting areas where displaced families are sheltering, according to local reports.
