Digital Campaign Seeks to Highlight Ongoing Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza
Activists have launched a digital campaign under the hashtag “They Lied to You” to draw renewed global attention to the humanitarian situation in Gaza, arguing that the crisis has continued despite a ceasefire.
The campaign, launched in Arabic and English, features journalists, humanitarian workers, children from Gaza, and supporters from several countries. Through videos and social media posts, participants say civilians continue to face displacement, hunger, destruction and limited access to humanitarian aid.
Campaign participants argue that reduced international media coverage has created the impression that the conflict has ended, while they say violence and humanitarian challenges remain.
