Amnesty Condemns Israeli Settler Sieg
Fifteen Palestinians, including two children, remain trapped inside three homes in the Ras al-Ain area of Qusra, south of Nablus, as a siege by armed Israeli settlers and Israeli military forces enters its second week.
The families have been cut off from essential supplies, including food, water and electricity. The United Nations said residents were trapped in a state of terror and unable to meet basic needs.
The humanitarian situation worsened when Israeli forces intercepted a UNICEF convoy attempting to deliver assistance. Although two vehicles were allowed to provide some food, a water tanker was blocked and expelled from the area, leaving the families without a reliable water supply.
A day earlier, Israeli settlers reportedly attacked municipal workers and a bulldozer that was trying to repair damaged utility lines. Qusra Mayor Abdel Azim Wadi said authorities remained unable to restore electricity and water to the three besieged homes.
Amnesty International has condemned the situation as a form of “strategic terror,” highlighting the severe impact of the ongoing blockade on Palestinian civilians.
