Israeli Airstrikes Kill Al Jazeera Cameraman and Civilians in Gaza Despite Ceasefire

At least 10 Palestinians, including Al Jazeera cameraman Ahmad Washah and members of a family, were killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip since early Saturday, according to medical sources and witnesses, despite a ceasefire in place since October 2025.

Washah was killed in a drone strike targeting a house in Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. Al Jazeera confirmed his death, noting that he was among its media staff covering events in the enclave. His killing brings the number of Al Jazeera journalists killed in Gaza since October 2023 to 12.

Elsewhere, four members of a family, including two children, were killed in a separate strike in Gaza City. Additional casualties were reported in multiple locations, including drone strikes, naval fire, and gunfire in residential areas and displacement zones.

In northern and southern Gaza, further incidents left civilians killed and wounded, including children injured near Khan Younis and others targeted while sheltering or moving through populated areas.

The Gaza Health Ministry says Israeli violations of the ceasefire have killed more than 1,000 Palestinians and injured over 3,000 others since it began in October 2025.
