Nearly 100 US Service Members Injured in Iran Strikes, Pentagon Confirms

The Pentagon has confirmed that nearly 100 American service members have been injured since early July during the latest escalation between the United States and Iran.

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said the injuries occurred as Iran launched retaliatory attacks on US military facilities in Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan and Kuwait following continued US strikes.

The Pentagon also confirmed the deaths of three US Army soldiers in a missile attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. In a separate incident in Iraq, one US soldier was killed and another injured while carrying out a controlled detonation of a downed Iranian attack drone at Erbil Air Base.

The announcement followed criticism of reports alleging the Pentagon had withheld information about military casualties, with officials rejecting those claims.
