Naftali Bennett Pledges to Declare Qatar an ‘Enemy’ if Re-Elected
Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has pledged to declare Qatar an "enemy" if he returns to power later this year, saying it is "unforgivable" that Israel has not already done so.
Speaking to Channel 12, Bennett claimed Qatar currently poses a greater threat to Israel than Iran. He accused Doha of funding the Hamas Nukhba forces involved in the 7 October 2023 attack, criticized Al Jazeera, and alleged that Qatar has influence in American universities and within Israel's political system.
Bennett argued that Qatar works against Israel and said his government would officially designate the Gulf state as an enemy.
