Israeli Drone Strike on Gaza Refugee Camp Kills Two, Including Child
Israeli drone strikes hit makeshift tents in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza on Saturday, killing two Palestinians, including a young girl, according to medical sources cited in reports.
The area has been designated a “safe zone” under the terms of the ongoing ceasefire arrangement, raising renewed concerns about the protection of civilians in designated humanitarian areas.
Four other people were injured in the attack and were taken to Nasser Hospital, one of the few medical facilities still partially operating in southern Gaza. Hospital sources said the wounded are receiving treatment.
The incident adds to growing tensions over continued strikes in areas where displaced civilians have sought shelter, despite agreements intended to reduce violence and protect non-combatants.
