Israel Issues Demolition Orders for Nine Palestinian Homes in Hebron

Israeli authorities have issued demolition orders for nine occupied Palestinian homes in the Hebron area of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

The notices were delivered to homeowners in the Qanan Niyas area of Al-Shuyukh town, northeast of Hebron, on allegations that the houses were built without permits in Area C. Residents said they had previously received stop-work orders and had submitted documents in an effort to obtain permits.

The demolition orders come amid a broader increase in home demolitions and military actions across the West Bank. Separately, local activists reported that Israeli forces arrested a Palestinian man in the Masafer Yatta area following an incident involving settlers. In another incident, an Israeli military vehicle allegedly attempted to run over two Palestinians near Beit Ummar, though no injuries were reported.

Rights groups and Palestinian officials say demolitions, arrests, and settler-related incidents have increased significantly across the West Bank since late 2023, contributing to rising tensions and displacement.
