A recently emerged group calling itself Harakat Ashab al‑Yamin al‑Islamia (HAYI), or “Islamic Movement of the Companions of the Right,” has claimed responsibility for a suspected arson attack in north London, where four ambulances from the Jewish volunteer emergency service Hatzola were set on fire in Golders Green.

The group surfaced publicly in March 2026 and has since taken credit for a series of attacks across Europe — including alleged arson and explosions at Jewish sites in the Netherlands, Belgium, and possibly other countries. Authorities and counter‑terrorism analysts say HAYI’s statements have been posted on Telegram, warning of further actions against Israeli and Western interests.

British law enforcement has launched a hate‑crime and counter‑terrorism investigation into the London incident, though it has not yet confirmed the authenticity of the claim or whether the group has real organisational structure or external backing.

Security experts caution that while the group’s messages appear intended to intimidate Jewish communities and spread fear, the full extent of its links — including possible ties to Iranian‑aligned networks — remains under investigation.
