Iranian Army Says New Air Defence Systems Strengthen Combat Readiness
The Iranian army says new air defence systems have entered service, strengthening the country’s ability to respond to potential aerial attacks.
Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami Nia said the new anti-aircraft equipment has improved Iran’s defensive capabilities and allows its forces to counter hostile aircraft more effectively.
The military spokesperson said Iran is facing a sensitive period and has spent years preparing for possible conflicts through exercises, planning and military training.
Akrami Nia also rejected accusations that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons, saying such claims are being used to justify pressure and military action against Tehran.
He added that Iran’s armed forces were prepared to respond quickly to threats due to their operational plans and long-term preparation.
