Iran Warns of Retaliation After US Launches Strikes in Strait of Hormuz
Iran has warned of serious consequences after the United States launched new military strikes near the Strait of Hormuz, escalating regional tensions.
Iranian state media reported multiple explosions on Qeshm Island, in the city of Sirik and the port city of Bandar Abbas shortly after the US military announced the operation.
In response, Iran’s Foreign Ministry accused Washington of violating the agreement intended to end the recent conflict and warned that Tehran would take decisive measures to protect its national security and interests.
The developments mark a sharp escalation in tensions as both sides exchange accusations over the breakdown of their previous agreement.
