Iran Warns Bahrain Over US Ties as IRGC Threatens Regional American Bases
An adviser to Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Akbar Velayati, has issued a strong warning to Bahrain, saying it should “know its limits” and avoid actions that could force Iran into “harsh decisions.”
Velayati, speaking in an interview cited by Iranian outlet Farhikhtegan and reported by Drop Site News, accused Bahrain of aligning closely with the United States and hosting its Fifth Fleet, claiming it is contributing to rising hostility toward Iran.
Separately, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps warned that US military bases in the region would “experience hell” if attacks on Iran continued.
The comments come amid heightened regional tensions following strikes involving Iranian and US-linked targets near the Strait of Hormuz. Bahrain has since urged the United Nations Security Council to hold an emergency meeting and demand accountability from Tehran after an Iranian strike on a US Navy base in Bahrain.
