Iran Warns Bahrain Over US Military Ties as Regional Tensions Escalate

An adviser to Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Akbar Velayati, has issued a strong warning to Bahrain, cautioning it against actions that could push Iran toward “harsh decisions” and urging it to “know its limits.”

Velayati, speaking in comments reported by Iranian media, accused Bahrain of closely aligning with the United States and hosting the US Fifth Fleet, saying it was contributing to hostility against Iran.

Separately, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps warned that US military bases across the region would “experience hell” if attacks on Iran continued.

The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions following recent strikes involving Iranian and US-linked targets near the Strait of Hormuz.

In response, Bahrain urged the United Nations Security Council to convene an emergency session and hold Iran accountable after an Iranian strike on a US Navy base in Bahrain.
