Iran Says US Must Implement Peace Deal and Demands End to Israeli Attacks on Lebanon
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that the United States is responsible for implementing the Pakistan-mediated memorandum of understanding reached with Tehran.
During separate phone calls with the foreign ministers of Iraq, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, Araghchi stressed the importance of ensuring that the agreement is carried out and called for an end to Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
The discussions also highlighted the need for continued diplomatic efforts to strengthen regional security and stability.
The comments came after US President Donald Trump announced that a peace agreement with Iran had been finalized. The deal includes a halt to military operations across multiple fronts, including Lebanon, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and the lifting of the US naval blockade on Iran.
