Iran Accuses Europe of Complicity in US-Israeli Strikes After NATO Remarks

Iran has accused European countries of supporting the US-Israeli military campaign against Tehran, following comments by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte defending recent strikes on Iran.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Rutte's remarks showed that European countries were not neutral and had played a role in what he described as an unlawful aggression against Iran.

Baghaei argued that countries providing territory, facilities or other support for the attacks could not avoid responsibility for the consequences.

His comments came after Rutte described the US strikes on Iran as “necessary” and “crucial,” prompting a strong response from Tehran.
