A La Liga 2 derby match between Real Zaragoza and SD Huesca descended into chaos on April 26 after Zaragoza goalkeeper Esteban Andrada punched an opposing player, triggering a mass brawl.
The incident occurred in stoppage time with Huesca leading 1–0 when Andrada, who had just been sent off after receiving a second yellow card for pushing Huesca captain Jorge Pulido, ran toward him and struck him in the face. The punch sparked a confrontation involving players, staff, and security personnel, with additional red cards issued during the disorder.
Pulido was left with visible facial bruising, while Andrada had to be restrained and escorted off the pitch. The match ultimately ended in a 1–0 victory for Huesca, a result that carries significance as both teams are battling relegation in Spain’s second division.
Real Zaragoza condemned the incident and indicated disciplinary action would follow, while Andrada later issued a public apology. Reports suggest he could face a suspension of up to 12 matches.
