US Munition Stockpile Could Impact Military Operations in Iran, Report Says

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, has reportedly warned US President Donald Trump that current munition stockpiles could affect future military operations involving Iran.

According to reports, the assessment highlighted concerns that prolonged military activity may strain available weapons supplies. A recent analysis by the Center for Strategic and International Studies also suggested that the conflict involving Iran has significantly reduced US inventories of Patriot and THAAD missile interceptors.

The report warned that continued regional tensions could leave US forces at greater risk if missile defence stockpiles are not replenished.
