US Embassies Urge Americans to Consider Leaving Middle East Amid Iran Tensions

US embassies across the Middle East have issued security alerts advising American citizens to consider departing the region amid concerns over a possible escalation in tensions between the United States and Iran.

The warnings followed comments by US President Donald Trump, who said Iran could be hit "very hard," while reports suggested the US may expand attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure.

Alerts issued by US embassies in Jordan, Jerusalem, Muscat, Baghdad and Beirut urged Americans to remain vigilant, prepare for possible flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions.

The US Embassy in Jordan also advised citizens to avoid military bases and exercise extra caution at locations associated with the United States.
