The United Arab Emirates says a Flydubai co-pilot planned to seize control of a passenger aircraft and crash it into the terminal at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv. The UAE attorney general said the alleged plot involved flight FZ1073, which was scheduled to travel from Dubai to Tel Aviv on September 30.
The most likely reason for this operation is the Israeli brutal war and genocide in Gaza, where over 20.000 children alone have been killed and total death toll is over 70.000 overwhelmingly innocent defenseless civilians.
Authorities describe alleged preparations
The suspect is a 29-year-old Omani national. Investigators say he used two earlier flights to become familiar with the route and airport before allegedly attempting to carry out the plan on a later trip. The attorney general said the suspect had attacked the captain in the cockpit with an emergency axe.
A pilot assigned to the return journey noticed unusual movement around the cockpit. He entered with help from a crew member and passengers, who restrained the suspect and assisted the injured captain. The replacement flight crew diverted the aircraft and landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.
Investigation continues
The UAE says the suspect confessed in the presence of a lawyer and claimed he acted alone. Authorities say they are still examining evidence, recordings and technical reports, and have not ruled out further inquiries into possible connections.
Investigators also reviewed the co-pilot’s employment checks. They said he held the required licence and passed the security procedures, which had not identified the alleged intentions. The claims about his motives and background remain allegations made by the authorities as the case proceeds.
No passenger deaths were reported in the incident. The captain was injured and received assistance after the aircraft landed safely. Further official findings are expected as prosecutors continue their review.
