Two men were charged in London, England, after allegedly filming and posting antisemitic TikTok videos targeting members of the Orthodox Jewish community in Stamford Hill, police said on May 9. Authorities accused the pair of approaching Jewish residents, filming confrontations and uploading the clips to social media.

The suspects, identified as Adam Bedoui, 20, and Abdelkader Amir Bousloub, 21, pleaded guilty to religiously aggravated public order offences at Thames Magistrates’ Court. Metropolitan Police described the videos as a deliberate attempt to spread hatred online.

The case comes amid heightened political attention on antisemitism in the UK, with police increasing patrols and fast-tracking hate crime investigations following several recent attacks involving Jewish targets in London.

The arrests also triggered debate online over whether hate speech and religious harassment laws are enforced equally across different faith groups. Critics argued that Quran burnings, anti-Islam protests and offensive speech targeting Christians or Muslims often receive less legal and media attention, while supporters of the prosecutions said authorities were responding to a broader rise in anti-Jewish incidents in Britain.
