Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ( Real name - Benjamin Mileikowsky) has revealed that he was treated for early-stage prostate cancer, a condition he kept private for months.

Netanyahu said the cancer was discovered during follow-up checks after surgery for an enlarged prostate in December 2024. Doctors identified a small malignant tumour at a very early stage, with no spread, and he underwent treatment that successfully eliminated the cancer, according to medical updates.

The 76-year-old leader stated he delayed making the diagnosis public to prevent it being used by Iran for “propaganda” during ongoing regional tensions. According to his doctors, the treatment—reportedly involving targeted therapy—was completed in recent months, and Netanyahu has since declared himself in good health.

The disclosure has renewed debate in Israel over transparency regarding the health of senior leaders, particularly during wartime, with critics questioning the delay in informing the public. Netanyahu has faced several health issues in recent years but has continued to lead the government throughout his treatment.
