Israeli Strikes Kill Five Palestinians in Gaza as Peace Efforts Continue
Israeli strikes killed five people in Gaza on Friday, according to authorities in the territory, as international calls continued for progress toward a peace plan.
Gaza’s Civil Defence Agency said three bodies were recovered from the rubble following Israeli strikes in Al-Qarara, east of Khan Younis. Nasser Hospital said the three victims were members of the same family, aged 42, 42 and 28.
Gaza authorities later reported two additional deaths, including a person killed in a drone strike near Gaza City.
The latest casualties were reported despite ongoing international efforts to advance a peace plan and reduce violence in the Gaza Strip.
