Israeli Drone Strikes Kill Nine Palestinians Across Gaza

At least nine Palestinians were killed and around 40 others injured in a series of reported Israeli drone strikes across the Gaza Strip over a 24-hour period, according to Palestinian media reports.

The attacks were reported in northern, central and southern Gaza, targeting vehicles, individuals and groups of people.

In Gaza City, a drone reportedly struck a vehicle on Al-Saftawi Street carrying Ahmed al-Batsh, whom Quds Press identified as a commander in Hamas’s Al-Qassam Brigades. Youssef al-Zaim was also reported killed in a separate strike near the 17th Roundabout.

In Sheikh Radwan, Civil Defence officer Sharif Labad and a child, Muhammad al-Zinati, were reportedly killed. The child was said to have been trying to help Labad when the strike occurred. Another attack in Sheikh Ajlin injured about 10 people.

In central Gaza, a strike near Al-Baidar Café in Al-Zawaida reportedly killed one person and injured eight others.

Further south, three strikes hit tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Al-Samoud area of Mawasi Khan Younis, killing three people and injuring more than 20. One of those killed was identified as Nael Abu Ubaid, described by Quds Press as a commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades’ Rafah Brigade.

Residents of Jabalia refugee camp also reported low-flying Israeli quadcopter drones near residential buildings, with some saying the drones fired toward crowded areas and dropped explosive devices.
