Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain: Secret Nuclear Site Targeted by Trump Threats

Iran’s “Pickaxe Mountain” has become a major focus of rising tensions between Tehran and Washington after US President Donald Trump threatened to destroy the heavily fortified site.

Located near the Natanz nuclear complex south of Tehran, the underground facility is built deep inside a mountain and protected by layers of rock, making it difficult to target. US intelligence officials suspect it could support Iran’s nuclear ambitions, while Tehran says it is only used for advanced centrifuge production.

Trump said the US was closely monitoring the site and warned that it could be attacked if Iran’s nuclear activities continued.

The threats come as US-Iran military tensions escalate, with both sides exchanging attacks. The US says recent strikes targeted Iranian military infrastructure, while Tehran has reported explosions in several southern areas.

Despite the escalation, Trump said a diplomatic agreement with Iran remained possible.
