Iran Warns of Retaliation if Beirut’s Southern Suburbs Are Targeted

Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has warned that any large-scale Israeli attack on Beirut’s southern suburbs would trigger retaliation targeting northern Israel.

In a statement directed at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the headquarters said that attacks on the Dahiyeh district or evacuation orders for its residents would lead to measures that could expand the conflict into northern Israeli cities and settlements. It also urged residents in northern Israel to leave the area.

The warning comes amid reports that Israeli officials have ordered preparations for intensified strikes against Hezbollah positions in Beirut’s southern suburbs. Israel has also expanded evacuation warnings to additional areas in southern Lebanon, signaling the possibility of broader military operations.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah has reportedly responded to Israeli actions and threats by launching rockets and attack drones, further raising tensions along the Lebanon-Israel front.
