Iran has said the damage caused by recent US and Israeli strikes on its territory is estimated at around $270 billion, highlighting the scale of destruction from the ongoing conflict.

The estimate was reported on 14–15 April 2026, with Iranian officials stating that the strikes targeted military sites, infrastructure, and economic facilities, including schools and hospitals causing widespread damage. The figure reflects losses to both physical infrastructure and broader economic capacity, according to Iranian authorities.

Iranian officials have also indicated that they are seeking compensation for the damage, though details on how or from whom this would be pursued remain unclear.

The strikes are part of a wider conflict that began on 28 February 2026, when the United States and Israel launched coordinated attacks on Iran.

While the $270 billion estimate has not been independently verified, analysts say the strikes caused significant damage to infrastructure and military assets. A ceasefire reached earlier in April has reduced large-scale fighting, but tensions remain high.
