Iran Deploys New Air Defence Systems to Boost Response Against Air Threats

Iran’s army has announced that newly deployed air defence systems have improved the country’s military capabilities and strengthened its ability to respond to potential air threats.

Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami Nia, an Iranian army spokesperson, said the new anti-aircraft systems are now operational and allow Iranian forces to respond more effectively to hostile aircraft.

He said Iran is prepared for possible confrontations through years of military training, exercises and strategic planning. According to him, the armed forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have improved their readiness and ability to respond quickly to threats.

Akrami Nia also rejected accusations that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons, saying such claims are being used by the United States as a justification for pressure and military actions. He added that Iran’s military planning has long focused on possible conflicts involving the US and Israel.
