Regional States Condemn Gaza Strikes, Israel Blames Hamas
Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and other countries have condemned continued Israeli strikes in Gaza, accusing Israel of targeting civilian areas, healthcare facilities and vital infrastructure.
In a joint statement supported by Qatar, Jordan, Pakistan and Indonesia, foreign ministers expressed concern over the ongoing loss of civilian lives and called for an end to violations in Gaza.
Israel rejected the accusations, saying the statement misrepresented the situation. Israeli officials claimed Hamas has continued rebuilding military capabilities, recruiting fighters and preparing for future attacks despite calls for a demilitarised Gaza.
The latest tensions come amid efforts linked to a US-backed peace plan aimed at ending the war. While diplomatic discussions continue, strikes and accusations between Israel and Hamas remain ongoing.
Palestinian health officials say thousands of Palestinians have been killed during the conflict, including many women and children, while Israel says its operations are focused on preventing future attacks by Hamas.
