Gaza Media Office Reports More Than 21,500 Children Killed Since October 2023

The Gaza Government Media Office says more than 21,500 Palestinian children have been killed since Israel began its military campaign in October 2023, while hundreds of mosques have also been damaged or destroyed.

In a statement, the office said Israeli forces had targeted 1,244 of Gaza’s 1,275 mosques. It reported that 1,077 mosques had been completely destroyed.

The office accused Israeli forces of systematically targeting civilians and residential areas and said the continued attacks violate international humanitarian law and international conventions.

It described the reported death toll among children as catastrophic and condemned the destruction of religious sites across Gaza.

The Gaza Media Office also blamed Israel and what it described as international inaction for the continued civilian deaths and destruction. The figures and allegations were issued by the Gaza Government Media Office.
