Palestinian medical sources reported that eight people had been killed in attacks across Gaza by Saturday, October 3. The deaths were reported in separate incidents, not in a single strike.
Five Killed in Gaza City Apartment Strike
The deadliest reported incident struck a residential apartment in Gaza City’s Al-Rimal, also known as Remal, neighbourhood in the early hours of Saturday. Medical and civil defence officials said five Palestinians were killed, including four women. The building was badly damaged and caught fire.
Among those killed were Maysa Abu Daoud and her daughter Mary al-Najjar, members of Gaza’s Christian community. Their funeral was held at Saint Porphyrius Church in Gaza City. The other victims included two women from the same family and a young man, according to Palestinian medical reporting.
Other Attacks Across the Strip
The reported total of eight covered deaths across multiple attacks and locations in Gaza. Separate incidents were reported in central and southern parts of the territory, where strikes, artillery fire and gunfire also caused injuries. Details and casualty counts varied between updates.
The deaths occurred despite a ceasefire agreement that began in October 2025. The Gaza Health Ministry has continued to report casualties since the truce took effect, while Israel says its operations target armed groups and respond to security threats. The latest deaths added to concerns among residents facing repeated violence and damage to homes.
