At least seven Palestinians, including a child, were killed in separate Israeli attacks across Gaza on Thursday, the civil defence rescue service said. Six of the reported deaths occurred in different parts of Gaza City.
Strikes and shelling reported at several locations
The incidents included a drone strike on a car that killed two people and a separate drone attack on a tent sheltering displaced people that killed one, according to the rescue service and al-Shifa Hospital. Gaza’s civil defence said an attack on a residential building in Gaza City killed a woman and a child and wounded others. Health officials also reported that a woman was killed by artillery shelling in the city.
One person was reported killed by Israeli fire southeast of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. The later update also listed reported strikes in al-Sudaniya, al-Mawasi in Rafah, Bani Suheila and northeastern Khan Younis.
Ceasefire casualty toll rises
Gaza’s Health Ministry said that, as of Thursday, Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement had killed 1,471 Palestinians and injured 5,189 others. The update placed the overall number of Palestinians killed in Gaza since October 2023 above 74,254, with thousands more missing and believed to be beneath the rubble.
The figures reflect reports from local emergency and health authorities. The two updates describe the same day’s seven-death incident; the later update adds the ceasefire casualty tally and locations reported across the enclave.
