Arab League Condemns Israeli Attacks, Urges Halt to Gaza Occupation Expansion
The Arab League has called on the international community to prevent Israel from expanding its occupation of the Gaza Strip, warning that continued military operations could undermine efforts to advance the next phase of the ceasefire agreement.
In a statement, Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy strongly condemned the latest Israeli attacks on Gaza, saying they struck shelters for displaced families and residential buildings, causing civilian casualties. He also expressed concern over ongoing Israeli military operations in the occupied West Bank, including home demolitions and arrest raids.
The Arab League said the recent escalation risks disrupting the ceasefire process and efforts aimed at ending the conflict, easing humanitarian suffering in Gaza, and securing an Israeli military withdrawal.
