US to Deploy More Refuelling Aircraft as Trump Weighs Expanded Iran Military Action

The United States is preparing to deploy dozens of additional aerial refuelling aircraft as President Donald Trump considers expanding military operations against Iran, according to a report citing US and Israeli officials.

Trump reportedly reviewed several military options during a Situation Room meeting, including strikes on Iranian power plants, key infrastructure and suspected nuclear facilities, including the underground Pickaxe Mountain site. A final decision has not yet been made.

Officials said the US could escalate military action within days to pressure Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and return to nuclear negotiations. Around 60 US refuelling aircraft are already stationed at Ben Gurion and Ramon airports in Israel, with plans to increase that number.

The latest developments come after renewed tensions between Washington and Tehran despite a Pakistan-mediated memorandum aimed at reducing the conflict last month.
