Two schools in the Iranian city of Parand, southwest of Tehran, were damaged during airstrikes carried out amid the escalating conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel.

Iranian media said the strike happened on Thursday, March 5, 2026, and caused damage to the educational buildings and nearby residential units. Photos shared by Fars news agency appeared to show debris and damage inside what looked like a classroom. Officials said the schools were not in session at the time, and no immediate reports of student casualties were released.

The attack came days after another deadly strike on a girls’ school in Minab, which Iranian authorities said killed 165 students and staff. International observers have raised concerns about the effect of the war on civilian infrastructure as the conflict continues to expand.
