A suspect has been arrested after two Jewish men were stabbed in north London in what police are treating as a terrorist incident.

The attack took place on April 29, 2026, in Golders Green, an area with a large Jewish population. Authorities said a 45-year-old man was detained at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder after being subdued by officers. The victims, aged 34 and 76, were taken to hospital with stab wounds and are reported to be in stable condition.

Police said the suspect attempted to attack others and also tried to stab officers before being stopped. The incident is being investigated by counterterrorism authorities amid concerns it may have targeted the Jewish community. This comes amid a rise in attacks in the UK, which authorities and community groups have linked to heightened tensions surrounding ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.
