Bolivia Deploys Troops on Brazil Border to Stop Criminal Gang Violence
Bolivia has deployed police and military forces along its border with Brazil following a surge in violence linked to Brazilian criminal groups fighting for control of drug trafficking routes.
More than 200 security personnel are now patrolling the border area after clashes between rival gangs left at least nine people dead.
Authorities said the operation aims to prevent criminal groups from expanding their activities into Bolivian territory and strengthen security in vulnerable border regions.
The move highlights growing concerns across South America over cross-border organised crime, drug trafficking networks and rising violence linked to illegal routes.
