Iranian Missile and Drone Attacks Injure US Troops and Damage Bases Across Middle East

Nearly 100 U.S. service members have been injured in Iranian missile and drone attacks across the Middle East since the beginning of July, according to U.S. military officials.

A U.S. official said at least 12 soldiers suffered serious injuries in attacks on bases in Jordan and other countries, with some transported to a U.S. military hospital in Germany for treatment. Around half of the reported injuries occurred during attacks on U.S. facilities in Jordan.

The investigation into a strike on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, which killed three U.S. soldiers, is still ongoing.

Iranian attacks have also damaged American military facilities elsewhere in the region. A radar system at Ahmad Al Jaber Air Base in Kuwait was reportedly destroyed, while facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, and a U.S. site at Erbil International Airport in Iraq also suffered damage.

The incidents highlight rising tensions between Washington and Tehran as U.S. forces across the region face increased security risks.
