Iran has submitted new amendments to a draft memorandum of understanding being discussed with the United States and has rejected changes proposed by US President Donald Trump, according to reports citing Iran’s Tasnim News Agency.

A source cited by the semi-official outlet said Tehran intends to revise the latest version of the proposed ceasefire agreement as negotiations continue between the two sides.

The source also emphasised that Trump’s suggested amendments should not be interpreted as having been accepted by Iran, underscoring ongoing disagreements in the talks as both parties attempt to shape the terms of a potential deal.
