Iran has reportedly suspended message exchanges with the United States through mediators, amid escalating regional tensions linked to ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

According to Iran’s Tasnim news agency, the decision comes in response to developments in Lebanon, with Tehran saying diplomatic communication will remain halted as long as hostilities continue. The report also suggests Iran and its allied “Resistance Front” are coordinating broader strategic responses.

These include potential moves to block the Strait of Hormuz and activate additional regional pressure points such as the Bab El Mandeb Strait, both of which are critical global shipping routes. Such actions are described as part of efforts to pressure Israel and its supporters.

Iranian officials have also warned that any escalation on one front will be treated as escalation across all fronts, holding the United States and Israel responsible for consequences tied to continued military operations in Lebanon.

The report further states that Iran’s position is tied to demands for a full halt to Israeli military actions in Gaza and Lebanon, along with withdrawal from occupied areas, before any diplomatic talks can resume.

The conflict has already contributed to rising regional instability and global economic concerns, particularly through risks to key energy shipping routes like the Strait of Hormuz.
