Germany holds naval exercise with Israel amid Gaza war

Germany and Israel conducted a joint naval exercise off the coast of Haifa on Thursday, in a move described by the Israeli military as strengthening operational cooperation between the two navies.

A German naval vessel docked at Haifa before the drill, and senior German commanders met with Israeli naval officials at the Haifa Naval Base. The exercise took place during Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza.

The Israeli military said the drill was aimed at improving coordination and joint readiness between the two forces.

The Gaza conflict continues to draw international attention, with widely reported Palestinian casualties and ongoing debate over the scale of destruction and humanitarian impact.
